Yesterday morning my best friend dropped me off at the airport in San Francisco so I could board a plane to Ireland. Well, I’ve flown out of the country before, and I’ve flown by myself before, but I’ve never flown out of the country by myself before. Needless to say, I embarked on an adventure.
Not much has happened yet, but I can see already that I have made the right decision coming here.
When I got off the plane this morning in Dublin, I set off to find my bag and I kept wondering what would happen if it didn’t appear. As time went on and I still didn’t see it, I started to worry. Apparently they decided to put mine through last.
Going through security and customs was weird. They didn’t have me fill out a form like I’ve had to for every other country, they just asked me questions. The thing is though, I don’t fully know everywhere I’m going and everything I’m doing for sure. The man made me think I sounded suspicious. I’m not. I’m innocent, I swear!
When I got to where I was supposed to be picked up, I didn’t see anyone holding a sign like they said they would. However, Ray himself came to get me. So that was exciting. I hope to get to know the rest of the team a little better.
We got to the hotel, but it was too early to check in, so we went out for lunch, which was delicious. Then we got ice cream, which is better in Ireland than anywhere else I’ve ever gotten it.
I sat on the beach and collected rocks.
Now I’m just excited to see what this trip has in store for me. I’ll try to keep updating when I have wifi.
